Surrounded by the flames of the forge and the rhythm of hammer strikes, is the blacksmith’s trusted companion and steadfast anchor – the anvil. This unassuming yet indispensable tool has been the cornerstone of blacksmithing for millennia, bearing witness to the birth of countless masterpieces and the growth of empires. The anvil has evolved over time, adapting to the ever-changing needs of the blacksmith, while always remaining true to its core purpose – providing a solid and reliable foundation upon which the artisan can shape and mold their vision.
In 1955 Harry and Irene Brown built the Anvil, an inn named in honor of Harry’s old blacksmith shop on the same site. Today, entrepreneur Erik Warner is the lead partner in the Anvil Hotel as well as the co-founder of Eagle Point Hotel Partners and Arbus Hospitality. Eagle Point, created by Erik Warner and Stephen Chan in 2011, focuses on the creation of interesting and thoughtful hotel properties throughout the country. Additionally, they created Arbus Hospitality, a hotel management company that operates the Anvil Hotel and the rest of the properties in their collection. Through a unique combination of innovation, creativity, and deep industry experience, Arbus creates memorable experiences for the modern traveler.
Check-in time is 4PM and check-out is 11AM. Early check-ins and late check-outs cannot be guaranteed; however, requests for an early check-in or late check-out will be noted by a reservationist and every effort is given to fulfill these requests. Based upon availability, late check-outs may also be arranged for an additional fee.
There is limited complimentary self-parking only a flat lot.
We welcome dogs under 50 lbs. at Anvil Hotel– a non-refundable pet for of $50 will apply. No need to make arrangements prior to your stay – at check in please let us know you have a dog staying with you and complete the pet registration paperwork.
A Community Fee of 9.99% per room, per night, plus tax will be applied to your stay. This fee is to offset expenses and lend support to the destination’s infrastructure, employee benefits, subsidies for public transportation and additional flight capacity into Jackson Hole.

Relax in the sunny dining room, enjoying a cup of organic coffee while the chef prepares a delicious entrée using the finest local ingredients. Wake up to our signature eggs benedict, lemon-ricotta blueberry pancakes, and Vermont maple syrup. We also serve home-made granola, home-baked pastries and muffins, artisan breads and fresh fruit.
Breakfast is served each morning from 7:00 to 10:00 A.M. Please let our amazing Front Desk staff know you’ll be having breakfast.
