The History Jackson Hole Museum presents 11,000+ years of valley history through a dynamic Main Gallery with interactive artifact and photo walls, historic cabins, rotating exhibitions, family activities, and an Archive & Research Center. Jackson Hole 1955 – Step into a vivid, pivotal chapter of the valley’s past with Jackson Hole 1955, an exhibition of rare Kodachrome photographs by Orson L. Arvin. Taken in 1955–56, the striking images capture Jackson Hole during the postwar tourism boom before the ski resort and rapid development reshaped the community. View large-format color photography alongside Arvin’s original camera equipment and artifacts, on loan from and co-curated with the Arvin family. On view during regular museum hours through January 4, 2027.

Behind Linear Narratives – Discover the enduring power of Indigenous visual storytelling in Behind Linear Narratives: Indigenous Plains Ledger Art. Presented by Central Wyoming College in partnership with the Jackson Hole History Museum, this special exhibition pairs historic ledger drawings from the late 1800s with contemporary work by acclaimed Blackfeet artists Terrance Guardipee and Terran Last Gun. On view in the museum lobby through November 7, 2026; select artwork is available for purchase.

Cozy Camp – Young explorers are invited to travel back in time during History Jackson Hole’s Cozy Camp, a two-day, hands-on program for children in grades 3-5. Inspired by the skills and traditions of early Jackson Hole homesteaders, campers will try activities such as hand-dipping candles, leather stamping, and wood whittling while learning about life in the valley a century ago. Cozy Camp takes place November 23-24, from 9:00 am-4:00 pm; registration is offered by lottery October 13-19, 2026. The two-day program is $150, with One22 scholarships potentially available.
