Our Story: A Hotel with a Soul
Anvil Hotel Jackson’s journey began with Erik Warner, who spent his summers working at local hotels in Jackson. Decades later, his dream of owning a hotel in the heart of the American West became a reality with the purchase of a down-and-out motel. After the deal was done, Erik assembled a dedicated team to bring the vision to life – from Brooklyn-based designers Studio Tack, who immersed themselves in the area for a full year, to local craftspeople creating every detail of the hotel’s design. The result is a hotel deeply connected to Jackson’s unique character, offering both locals and visitors a true home away from home.
Rooted in Tradition, Shaped by Innovation
A Legacy of Craftsmanship
The name “Anvil” is a tribute to the blacksmith’s tool, an emblem of hard work, reliability, and craftsmanship. In 1955, Harry and Irene Brown opened the original Anvil Inn, named after Harry’s blacksmith shop. Today, the hotel is reimagined under the guidance of Erik Warner, who brings a legacy of thoughtful, creative hotel design through his company, Eagle Point Hotel Partners, and Arbus Hospitality. This new iteration of Anvil Hotel carries forward the craftsmanship of the past while embracing the spirit of innovation for today’s traveler.
