Pencil Portraits: Drawing Your Beloved Pets with Dahee Kim – JANUARY 7
This class will take place from 6 – 8 p.m. on January 7, in the Museum Classroom. Instructor Dahee Kim will guide you through the fundamentals of drawing with pencils. We’ll focus on using just pencils and erasers—sometimes even without an eraser—to explore the versatility of this medium.
Throughout the course, you will learn essential techniques for creating value, texture, and contrast. We’ll discuss how to observe your subjects closely and translate those observations onto paper, bringing your drawings to life. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this class will provide you with the tools and confidence to express your creativity through pencil drawing. Dahee Kim is an aspiring artist with a passion for pottery, painting, and drawing and based in Jackson Hole, WY, originally from South Korea. Drawing inspiration from nature and emotions, Dahee seeks to express the special and unique beauty of nature that surrounds us.
